Valentine’s Day may belong to romance, but this year I claimed the night for something far more enduring - friendship! With intention, a little indulgence and impeccable taste. My friend, Siya and I transformed the occasion into a Galentine’s celebration to remember.
Our evening unfolded at Iza, one of Port Elizabeth’s most effortlessly stylish dining destinations. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear: this was not just a Galantines dinner , it was an experience!
The atmosphere was sultry yet sophisticated, perfectly setting the tone for a night defined by elegance and ease. We lingered over beautifully crafted dishes, sipped bubbles that tasted like celebration and let the music carry us deeper into the night. Time softened, conversation flowed and the outside world faded and was replaced by laughter and clinking glasses.
There is something incredibly powerful about choosing joy without justification and Galentine’s, in its truest form, is a reminder that love exists abundantly - in friendship, in shared moments, in nights that leave you glowing long after they end.
We ate.
We drank.
We danced.
In doing so, we honoured a kind of love that is constant, grounding and beautifully uncomplicated.
